Israeli Professor Mordechai Zaken addresses the World Kurdish Congress
Addressing the World Kurdish Congress in Stockholm, Sweden, Dr Mordechai Zaken talks about the history and culture of the Kurds, Kurdish Jews and Kurdistan, and their relationship with the Jews and the State of Israel.
Dr Zaken is an expert on the Kurds and Middle Eastern minorities, both by academic training – he is historian of the Jews, the Kurds and the Assyrian Christians in Kurdistan - and by professional practice. He served as the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advisor on Israeli Arabs and minorities during his first term (1997–1999), and has been serving as advisor in the Ministry of Public Security since 2001.
