French Foreign Minister Arrives in Erbil
The Foreign Minister of France, Jean-Yves Le Drian, arrived in Kurdistan Region’s capital on Monday for a series of meetings with top Kurdish officials.
Le Drian had visited Baghdad earlier the day before flying to Erbil.
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani and Foreign Minister Falah Mustafa received the French top diplomat.
France had promised earlier to visit Iraqi and Kurdish officials ahead of the international conference on reconstruction of Iraq in Kuwait, hoping to help both sides to resolve their prolonged disputes.
