Opposition figures and lawmakers in Turkey slammed President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday over remarks in which he wished martyrdom for a little girl in military uniform at a convention of his party.
Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), a small faction with no parliamentary representation in Turkey, refused a warning by judicial authorities to drop the word “Kurdistan” from its name.
The US Department of Defence is yet to decide on whether to include a special category for Peshmerga salaries in its 2019 budget, said a Pentagon official to refute the allegations claiming that Washington has stopped “budgeting for the Peshmerga salaries”.
